In November 2003, Worldwide ERC® opened for business in its second location: Brussels, Belgium. As our global initiatives continue to grow, and more conferences, training and services are developed for other-country communities, the need for a physical presence overseas remains a critical element in Worldwide ERC®'s global outreach. The Brussels office provides the resources, cultural knowledge and regional experience that strengthen Worldwide ERC®'s global efforts from its U.S. location.
Worldwide ERC® is one of a small but growing group of associations on the cutting edge in setting up shop overseas. The Brussels office was established through a relationship with Association Global Services (AGS), which provides trade and professional associations, federations and not-for-profit organizations with a professional association management staff that works in partnership with their own leadership teams. In addition to their international headquarters in Brussels, AGS has regional offices that cover the Americas, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
The Brussels office, currently headed by Director, Angela Meurer represents Worldwide ERC® in a variety of efforts. The office provides administrative outreach and support for the European community and makes it possible for Worldwide ERC® to have a solid presence for any European Worldwide ERC® member or visitor who wishes to interact with a local representative. Strategically, AGS also helps Worldwide ERC® identify and pursue opportunities and partnerships that further our educational, global, public policy, and conference objectives.
In making this commitment to the European community, Worldwide ERC® looks forward to building more opportunities for its entire membership, as relationships in every area of the workforce mobility industry continue to integrate U.S. domestic and international concerns and professionals from all avenues draw on each others' expertise.
