The appraiser and the home inspector serve two very different functions in the relocation process. The appraiser is responsible for observing the subject property, describing improvements and forming an opinion of the anticipated sales price. The home inspector is responsible for inspecting improvements, assessing the condition and identifying items that require repair or replacement. Explore what can be done to close the gap between the two functions. Participants attending this session will:
- Learn how to handle a situation when the home inspection report identifies a problem that was not reported in the appraisal report
- Understand what appraisers can do to better inform clients of potential adverse issues while staying within the scope of their work
- Discover how to better communicate with the client to eliminate possible surprises from the home inspection report
Audience: This session is designed for appraisers, real estate professionals, corporate and relocation management attendees and home inspectors.
