The Global Mobility Specialist® (GMS®) designation is a education-based designation that recognizes knowledge and professionalism in the field of global workforce mobility.
Earning the GMS® designation is accomplished by participating in three educational modules and passing one comprehensive online exam when all modules are completed. The exam is designed to reinforce the concepts and information taught during each session.
Worldwide ERC® is offering the modules during the 2011 Global Workforce Symposium. These exciting learning opportunities will expand your knowledge of a wide range of topics:
Module 1 – The Fundamentals: Applied Expatriate Policy Development is an in-depth tutorial on the essentials of a classic international assignment program.
(This module is only offered online. Attendees are encouraged to take Module 1 online prior to participating in Modules 2 & 3.)
Module 2 – Policy Alternatives, Strategies and Tactics for Global Workforce Mobility offers a detailed understanding of localization strategy and practice, short-term assignments, the needs of global nomads, and hybrid programs for today's new expatriate.
Offered Tuesday, October 11, 2011 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Module 3 – The Intercultural Challenge: Doing Business Globally provides a focus on the intercultural implications of global mobility and geographically dispersed teamwork.
Offered Wednesday, October 12, 2011 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
