Global Mobility - Corporate Policy and Program Benchmarking
“How does your company handle the disposal of a car purchased while on assignment?  In countries where car values are significantly high is the employee is compensated for the difference between the value of a car in the U.S. versus the country of assignment?”

“Our company is considering developing a two-year rotational/developmental international assignment policy.  Does your company have such a policy and, if so, are the provisions similar to an Expat Assignment or more like a Short Term Assignment?  Also, is a minimum increase required to be eligible for COLA? (For example, does your company state that the overall increase in the cost of living must be at least a certain percent in order to qualify?)”

“Normally our lenders implement subsidy benefits; however we have an employee that was not able to obtain a loan with our preferred lenders and is working with a lender outside of our program that is not able to implement mortgage subsidy benefits.  We'd like to subsidize his loan through payroll with a 3-2-1 mortgage subsidy.  Has anyone ever handled it this way?  If so, do you subsidize the mortgage payment monthly or annually? Do you have a subsidy agreement that you ask the transferee to sign that you could share?”
