The Certified Relocation Professional (CRP®) exam is being offered exclusively through Internet-based testing (IBT). Does this mean that you can take the exam at home? Well no, not exactly. Please read below for more information on this type of testing - what you can expect, and if this is the right way for you!
1) When is the exam being offered?
The 2018 CRP exam is being offered for IBT test takers from Wednesday, 16 May 2018 through Friday, 1 June 2018. You can sign up to take the exam on any date within that range.
2) What is Internet-based testing (IBT)?
IBT is a way for you to take the exam online without having to use the traditional paper-and-pencil format where you fill in bubbles on an answer sheet that is later scanned into the computer. Instead, you sit at a computer in a testing center that has secure remote access to the exam. Once you complete it, your answers are uploaded directly into Castle Worldwide's database.
3) I am nervous about IBT. What is it like?
When you arrive at the testing center you will check in with your admission letter and government-issued ID.
-Please check here for information about items that are prohibited from the testing area.

-Consider taking a generic sample IBT exam here so you can get an idea of how to navigate through the questions and commands.
3) Will I get to know if I passed right away?
Your exam results will not be available to you right after testing. We will gather all of the answer sheets and run standard statistical tests on them to be sure that the exam is fair and valid to all candidates. This is to your advantage as items that test poorly can be discovered and dropped, which could result in a better score for you.
4) Do I register to take the exam the same way as before?
To sign up for the exam, you will complete a registration application in the same way. You will need to provide us with your contact details, membership status, and how you meet the eligibility requirements; but when it comes time to choose a location, our testing partner, Castle Worldwide, will reach out to you about four to six weeks before the first exam date with instructions on choosing your testing center location, date, and time.
5) How do I know where the testing centers are? When do I choose a date?
Castle Worldwide (our testing partner) will send you an email around four to six weeks before the first testing date that will provide you with instructions to sign up for a specific testing center location, date, and time. You can see where all the testing centers are located by visiting the Castle Worldwide testing center link.
6) What if I need to re-schedule my IBT session?
Once you choose a testing center location, date, and time with Castle Worldwide, any changes in location, date, and/or exam time will result in a $50 change fee. This fee will be collected anytime you log onto the Castle Worldwide IBT scheduling site and make changes. Changes cannot be made within four (4) days of your testing date. Please note that testing centers can fill up and certain dates and times may prove to be more popular than others. This is especially true closer to the exam start date.
7) I live out of the country. Can I take the exam without having to come to the U.S.?
If you do not live/work in the U.S., you can take the exam at an international testing center. There is an additional $125 fee for taking the exam at a location outside of the U.S. or Canada. This fee is in addition to your regular CRP® exam registration fees and is paid directly to Castle Worldwide when you actually schedule your testing center location, date, and time.
