#1 Complete all three GMS® modules, either online or in-person via a classroom setting, or a combination of both. GMS® courses take place in North America, EMEA and the APAC region during the week of Worldwide ERC®’s conferences, and through a limited number of on-site courses.
#2 Pass the online, comprehensive GMS® exam, which is designed to reinforce the material taught during each education session. Upon completion of all three Modules and the corresponding evaluations, you will receive access to the online exam immediately (There is no additional charge for access to the GMS exam).
Passing the GMS® exam is required in order to earn the designation; however, you may attend the modules as a professional learning experience and choose to skip the exam but you will not receive the designation or enjoy the benefits associated with having this unique credential.
There are no prerequisites to becoming a GMS®. The program was designed to nurture a shared understanding of the field; to serve individuals who wish to differentiate themselves as knowledgeable in this field; and to create opportunity for innovation and growth in the industry. A limited number of more advanced global mobility specialists have obtained the GMS® as a personal branding strategy.
Networking and benchmarking opportunities do not end with the GMS® live courses and credential program. You may choose to become a member of Worldwide ERC®, which offers high-quality conferences, publications, executive programs, corporate e-discussions and electronic list serves that enable global mobility specialists to continually build their core competencies and to monitor emerging trends in the industry.
