London, England —Worldwide ERC®, the workforce mobility association, announced today the opening of a headquarters office in London, which will serve members, professionals and businesses in the EMEA region. Peggy Smith, SCRP, SGMS-T, president and CEO of Worldwide ERC®, delivered the news at the association’s London Summit: Talent Mobility in EMEA. Underscoring the significance of the investment and the confidence the association has in the region, Worldwide ERC®’s entire Executive Committee was in attendance for the announcement, including Chairman Dale L. Collins, SCRP, GMS, Graebel Relocation Services Worldwide; Chair-elect Robert J. Horsley, Fragomen Worldwide; Vice Chair-Talent Community Soren Olesen; and Vice Chair-Finance Mark Lozano, SCRP, GMS, Wells Fargo & Company.
Worldwide ERC®’s Board of Directors made the decision to open a London office as part of a major three-year strategic plan that reaches fulfillment in 2016. "Global mobility is especially dynamic in this part of the world, and we have seen strong demand for mobility education and community from a range of EMEA-based companies,” said Smith. “The launch of our London office is an important milestone in our growing operations, and a gateway to future expansion in the region. By establishing this headquarters with dedicated staff, we’ll be well positioned to address regional issues and challenges, more able to educate mobility professionals and companies on trends and best practices, and more effective in serving our existing EMEA members and customers.”
Mark Woelfel, GMS, has been named Managing Director, EMEA. Smith noted, “Mark joins Worldwide ERC® with a background in finance and business administration, deep international experience and a strong commitment to global standardization and values for the mobility industry. We’re pleased to welcome him to our executive team.”
