Worldwide ERC® Recognizes Excellence, Honors Members In Annual Awards Program

Worldwide ERC®, the workforce mobility association, is pleased to announce the newest recipients of its annual Service Recognition and Editorial Achievement Awards.  During the National Relocation Conference in Orlando, Florida, 60 Worldwide ERC® members were recognized for their voluntary service, and one member was honored for her editorial contributions to Mobility, the association’s monthly magazine.

In presenting the awards, 2014 Worldwide ERC® Chair-Elect, Cindy Salter, SCRP, SGMS, Brookfield Global Relocation Services, noted, “As we pay tribute to these individuals, I am reminded of a Walt Disney quote: ‘You can design, create and build…but it takes people to make the dream a reality.’ For 50 years, we have been that kind of an industry, where global talent mobility professionals work together to achieve success.  I’m honored to recognize and congratulate such dedicated members for their contributions to that success.”

Service Recognition Awards

Members earn service awards by accruing points for such activities as committee or task force participation, speaking or moderating educational panels, authoring articles for the magazine or serving in a leadership capacity. There are three levels of recognition:

  • A Meritorious Service Award: earned after the accumulation of 10 points;
  • A Distinguished Service Award: earned after the accumulation of 25 points; and
  • Hall of Leaders Induction: conferred after an individual earns four Distinguished Service Awards, or accumulates 100 service points.

This year, the association inducted two new members into the Hall of Leaders; recognized 23 members with a first, second, or third Distinguished Service Award; and conferred a Meritorious Service Award on 37 members.  The list of service award recipients appears below.

Editorial Achievement Award

Erin Koops, CRP, was honored with this year’s Mobility Editorial Achievement Award, for her work in bringing focus to what it takes to cultivate future leaders and develop meaningful succession planning in the global mobility industry.  Koops is vice president, network services, for Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. In “Shaping the Next Generation of Leaders,” published in the February 2013 edition of Mobility, Koops offered concrete tips and resources for developing and retaining high-potential talent, and provided a thorough examination of the trends shaping the urgency of addressing talent shortfalls.

In announcing this year’s award winner and congratulating Koops, Salter observed, “Mobility has been the number one source of relocation information for 35 years and with all its outstanding articles, receiving this award is quite an accomplishment.”
