Three New Trustees to Serve on Worldwide ERC® Foundation for Workforce Mobility Board

Arlington, VA—The Worldwide ERC® Foundation for Workforce Mobility is pleased to announce the newest members appointed to serve on its Board of Trustees.  Beginning a three-year term, effective Jan. 1, 2016, are Robert (Rob) L. Giese, SCRP, GMS, Senior Director – Global Mobility Solutions with Graebel Companies Inc. in Aurora, Colo., USA; Kelly A. West, CRP, SGMS-T, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Xerox Relocation and Assignment Services in Denver, Colo., USA; and Thomas A. Whitaker, CRP, SGMS, Director, Mesa Systems, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

Rob brings nearly 30 years of workforce mobility experience to the Foundation, in addition to a number of previous Worldwide ERC® voluntary contributions.  He has held positions with relocation management companies and in corporate mobility in-house program administration.  Degrees in both Computer and Applied Behavioral Science and proficiency in global compensation and taxation brought his focus to technology, and a responsibility for relocation software program development and web-based expense/tax management systems.  Rob has contributed to the Worldwide ERC® Tax Forum, currently serves on its U.S. Advisory Council, has been a Mobility magazine author and Editorial Advisory Committee Chairman, and was presented with a second Distinguished Service Award from Worldwide ERC® earlier this year.  Rob has also served in a leadership capacity with the Rocky Mountain Relocation Council for several years.

Kelly leads Xerox’s Relocation and Assignment Services unit, assisting clients around the world. In addition to more than 20 years of experience in domestic and international real estate and relocation, Kelly brings a strong record of volunteerism to the Foundation. A Worldwide ERC® Global Advisory Council member, she has served as a contributing author for Mobility magazine and participated in the Editorial Advisory Committee, conference program planning committee and both as speaker and panelist at Worldwide ERC® meeting events. Kelly received a Meritorious Service Award from Worldwide ERC® in 2013. Her contributions to the employee relocation industry also include serving on the board of directors for the Rocky Mountain Relocation Council, where she led communications and memberships during her two-year tenure.

Thomas has been in the global talent mobility industry since 2004, serving a number of Fortune 500 clients in relocation management and transportation industry roles.  He developed a concierge program for VIP-level moving services, and currently serves as a director with Mesa International, a division of Mesa Moving & Storage dedicated to global transportation.  Thomas was the President of the Inter-mountain Relocation Council (IRC) for five years and has been a member of the Worldwide ERC® Communications Committee, National Relocation Conference Program Planning Committee, and the YP40 Committee.  Thomas is also a frequent Mobility magazine author, has served as a panelist and moderator at conferences, and received a Meritorious Service Award from Worldwide ERC® in 2014.

“One look at the collective professional experience and impressive records of service – both within and outside of our industry – that these three individuals bring to the table, and it’s easy to see why Rob, Kelly and Thomas are excellent additions to the Board of Trustees,” notes current Foundation Chairman Al Blumenberg, SCRP, NEI Global Relocation.  “Their talents, passion for the industry and commitment to giving back are clear, and align well with the Foundation’s mission and work.”
