Navigating the Future of Work in the Americas: NAFTA - Do You Really Know What This Means?
In the past five years, approximately 14,000 TN (Trade National) visas have been issued by the US to Canada and Mexico. A recent Korn Ferry study cites (Korn Ferry International) “Tough questions on trade “ as the NO. 8 disruptor for 2017. NAFTA accompanied the immigration reform discussions that accelerated to new levels this year, and still leave many questions unanswered. HR and Mobility professionals are called to strategize for the the potential displacement of employees under 63 categories covered by NAFTA. Should this trade agreement dissolve or change in scope, what does that mean for the trade of services (e.g.: labor mobility). Join us for a roundtable discussion on “What is NAFTA” and hear more about how that trade agreement was developed and should this paradigm shift - what doesn't that mean for labor mobility in Canada, USA and Mexico.
