Global Workforce Symposium
2018

General Data Protection Regulation Update

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which covers European Union (EU) residents took effect on 25 May 2018. The new regulation has changed the way data privacy is addressed not only in the EU but across the globe. For the mobility industry, the implications are far reaching as every entity which comes into contact with personal data of EU residents must adhere to the regulations.

This session focuses on a range of issues from the impact on corporations, RMCs, and suppliers including new contractual agreements to the EU and global politics surrounding GDPR and what we can expect next in data privacy policy. The session includes experts from both Europe and U.S. on the topic.
