Managing Immigration Status over the Long Haul under Pandemic Restrictions
We have seen over the past 18 months how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted international travel and changed the way many employers and employees work. Some employers are downsizing their brick-and-mortar office space, and many employees have become accustomed to working from home. Employees are also starting to make travel plans with the slow lifting of the travel bans. This presentation will examine some immigration-related changes and immigration-related impacts of our collective pandemic experience and cover considerations for employers and employees to manage and maintain legal immigration work status long term.
Objective: Attendees will be exposed to or reminded of the possibilities of a future that doesn’t ever really go back to “normal,” at least not fully when it comes to immigration. Awareness of the possibilities allows for preparedness.
