The program will provide an overview of the immigration trends we have seen on both sides of the border across 2018, and what we might expect across 2019. This has clearly been and remains a unique period for Canada – US relations, with many challenges for corporations that work cross border between our nations, and inbound US broadly.
You will gain a deeper understanding of the issues underpinning the challenges we have seen across 2018 and also what expect in 2019. Our presenters will discuss these topics from the lens of Canadian and US immigration experts, as well as case studies and strategies from a Canadian company adapting their approach to cope with these shifting landscapes.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain a clear understanding of the specific issues facing cross border mobility currently US-CA based on most recent experiences from high volume Immigration Services Providers in the US and Canada. Attendees will gain a very granular understanding of the issues and how to manage them.
- Attendee’s will also gain an understanding of the underpinning issues shaping these challenges, so that they can better anticipate policy and process issues going forward and adapt their own policies to best effect.
- Through our panel discussion, attendee’s will get a clearer understanding of what we can expect in 2019 based on most recent events, in particular election results in the US, and the political outlook for Canada in 2019.
