The Global Workforce Symposium, workforce mobility’s premiere event that brings together all sectors of mobility for networking, education, and more continues this week. As the workforce mobility industry and relocation professionals continue to confront unique challenges in the world of work, this year’s GWS provides an opportunity to discuss lessons learned while looking towards the future. In case you missed it, yesterday’s program consisted of the Mentors and Masters program where leaders in the real estate industry discussed pressing topics.
Following the morning’s networking hour, the Mentors and Masters program kicked off with a session on fair housing. The session explored questions such as “What is fair housing?” and “Why does it matter?” The panelists shared the significance of the fair housing act, fair housing law, community awareness, COVID-19 challenges, and more.
Next was a session on what homeowners desire for their homes to explore the trends in homeowner requests this past year. Closing the Mentors and Masters program was a session on buying or selling real estate virtually, discussing how relocation directors, brokers and agents have navigated the unforeseen circumstances of a pandemic with relocating clients.
These are just some of the many hot topics in real estate that mobility professionals continue to explore, where lessons learned from the pandemic continue to demonstrate the resilience of real estate. Following these engaging discussions and closing out the day was another networking hour, followed by a happy hour sponsored by SIRVA where attendees engaged in trivia about the Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) designation to celebrate 30 years of CRP.
From educational sessions and breakouts to networking and connection among peers, GWS will continue to foster connection and learning across the globe for all sectors of the industry. There’s something for everyone at mobility’s biggest annual gathering, and we encourage you to check out our schedule of events and speakers to get a glimpse of what this year’s GWS has to offer.
