Following a year that saw dramatic developments in trends driving the future of the global workforce, Worldwide ERC^® has hit the ground running in 2023 to support the critical role talent mobility professionals play in how, where, and when work happens around the world.

Your Advocate

We are redefining how we lead on issues most important to our members, which I have taken to calling the 2C’s and 2S’s: cost, compliance, supply chain, and sustainability. Our four policy forums take a deeper dive into these issues, and we are recruiting experts to advance public policies around the world that support work from anywhere, allow employers and workers to be agile, and that are attentive to the changing needs of the workforce—a formula that we know will support growth in our post-pandemic world. We are following issues that impact the 2C’s and 2S’s, ranging from tax and real estate to immigration and data privacy—and look forward to sharing results of our work and impact.

Your Research Leader

We will bring you cutting-edge research on these topics, leading the year with the next installment in our “new world of work” series. As how, where, and when we work continues to evolve, one constant has been the foundational role of talent mobility in building the future workforce. It’s an exciting time to be in our industry, and we will continue to provide our members with the research and insights they need to catalyze the transformation of the workplace.

Your Voice on Environmental Sustainability

We will also continue to forge the future on environmental sustainability. Building on the work of our Advisory Council, in addition to the landscape report and research we released on sustainability last year, we will take actions globally to show that we are driving a more sustainable future. Our work will include coalition-building with the associations representing relocation professionals worldwide—an effort we started in 2022 and will advance in 2023.

Your Professional Association for Nearly 60 Years

2023 is made more momentous in that Worldwide ERC will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year. Our new board, comprised of members with diverse professional experiences and expertise from every corner of mobility, has the vision and energy to take us into the next 60 years. We are bringing back global events. We will have peer-to-peer exchange opportunities. And we are expanding and strengthening our volunteer opportunities. Through it all, we will continue to deliver timely and relevant content, and we look forward to convening as one industry at GWS2023 in Boston.
