In case you missed it, workforce mobility industry peers from the APAC region and beyond connected yesterday through the symposium’s first-ever all-virtual summit to discuss pressing topics, share insights, and foster connection.

The 2020 Global Workforce Symposium continued this week with a series of summits for the EMEA, LATAM, and APAC regions. In case you missed it, workforce mobility industry peers from the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and beyond connected yesterday through the symposium’s first-ever all-virtual summit to discuss pressing topics, share insights, and foster connection.

The morning was spent networking as a virtual meet and greet kicked off the day’s events such as opening educational sessions to discuss topics pertinent to the APAC region. As a global pandemic upended business operations around the globe, there was much to discuss regarding how the APAC region’s varying economies, business operations, and workers have adapted to unprecedented times. The educational sessions gave an economic overview of the region as well as updates to the state of work and an immigration snapshot.

The opening educational sessions were followed by additional educational roundtables sponsored by Cartus and SIRVA. Led by workforce mobility industry professionals, the roundtables engaged attendees through such topics as navigating the new rules of global talent mobility in the post-COVID-19 world and mobility policy review for future-state strategy. The summit continued with corporate benchmarking and practice sharing for corporate attendees, and concluded with a happy hour sponsored by Cartus and led by an APAC recruiter as they shared insights on hot skills in region and tips on resumes and LinkedIn profiles that stand out.
