Worldwide ERC® Commends Biden-Harris Administration for Trucking Action Plan

ARLINGTON, Va., December 17, 2021 – Worldwide ERC®, the professional association for workforce mobility and relocation professionals, today commended the Biden-Harris Administration for its Trucking Action Plan to Strengthen America’s Trucking Workforce.

“Employee mobility is critical to the operations of companies in the United States, and, in turn, a strong trucking industry is vital to the relocation of the household goods of their transferees,” stated Worldwide ERC® President and CEO Lynn Shotwell. “Our nation relies on the continual uninterrupted flow of goods and materials for our daily needs and to conduct regular business, and so does the workforce mobility industry.”

Shotwell went on to note that Worldwide ERC® particularly supports the actions within the plan to develop new and expand existing apprentice programs as well as outreach efforts to facilitate the hiring of veterans to be drivers.
