Worldwide ERC® Congratulates 176 new Certified Relocation Professionals (CRPs)®
Worldwide ERC® congratulates the 176 members who recently earned the Certified Relocation Professional (CRP)® designation—representing a 79 percent pass rate. For the first time this year, the exam was offered in an internet-based testing format (IBT), between May 17 and June 2, along with the traditional paper option held in conjunction with the Worldwide ERC® Americas Mobility Conference in Atlanta on May 17, 2017. More than 86 percent of test takers took advantage of the new IBT format in more than 90 cities worldwide. A total of 222 candidates took the test this year.
The CRP® exam tests a candidate’s knowledge of the disciplines of U.S. employee mobility, including corporate policies and programs, real estate, transferee counseling, and other services. Its content is developed under the guidance and expertise of a Worldwide ERC® CRP® Certification Review Board, and it is administered by independent testing consultant and proctor Castle Worldwide.
In recognizing the newest designees, CRP® Certification Review Board Chairwoman Stefanie Schreck, SCRP, SGMS, observes, “Today’s business climate is increasingly focused on differentiators. Earning the CRP® is one of the most tangible ways workforce mobility professionals can demonstrate the unique value and skill set that they bring to their employers, clients, and transferring employees and families. The discipline, knowledge, and personal dedication that it takes to successfully earn and maintain the CRP® designation is a clear demonstration of commitment to the industry, to ongoing professional development, and a high level of expertise across several complex subjects. My colleagues and I are honored to congratulate and welcome the newest CRP® recipients into our community.”
The CRP® program was introduced in 1990 to formally recognize relocation professionals’ knowledge of the U.S. workforce mobility process. CRPs® retain their designation by maintaining membership in the association and earning 30 recertification credit hours within each three-year period following their initial certification, ensuring they remain current on evolving industry trends.
