Connecting Workforce Mobility Virtually: The 2020 Global Workforce Symposium
Learn about this year’s Global Workforce Symposium, now a month-long event with an all new virtual format.
Year after year, the Global Workforce Symposium has been the premiere event that brings together all sectors of mobility and the professionals within them for networking, education, and events. As the association dedicated to serving all corners of the workforce mobility industry, Worldwide ERC® cherishes the opportunity to meet face-to-face and engage in educational and informative content with the hardworking people that keep the global workforce moving.
But 2020 isn’t just any year, as the entire world has grappled with a devastating pandemic that has upended not just our personal lives, but our professional lives as well. Work is bound to never be the same, and companies have had to prove their agility and innovation to pivot into the next normal. Despite much uncertainty, one thing is for sure: mobility will be there help lead the global workforce as it adapts to change. That’s why this year’s Global Workforce Symposium is a little different than usual.
While we would have loved to meet in person as planned in Washington, D.C., we’re making safety a top priority by conducting the first ever virtual Global Workforce Symposium. This format allows us to connect with the mobility industry across the globe and through different time zones while putting safety first. Those wanting the networking experience that GWS provides year after year need look no further, as our virtual format contains a networking lounge and networking events, as well as a virtual marketplace and exhibition hall.
The virtual format also allows us to conduct our first-ever month-long Global Workforce Symposium. Beginning 28 October and ending 20 November 2020, there’s more time to connect with industry peers and experience the dynamic and educational content planned. 2020 has been a year like no other, and there’s much to learn and talk about. This time frame allows us to deeply engage in pressing topics and content, and we’ve built out new content tracks that are directly relevant to all sectors of the industry. From engaging speakers and innovation labs to robust concurrent educational sessions and workshops on topics that matter to you, it’s sure to be a month full of learning and connection.
As mobility and the world of work have adapted to unexpected changes experienced this year, so too is GWS by pivoting its format and duration to best serve the mobility industry. By retaining all the key elements of our in-person event, GWS will continue to foster connection and learning across the globe for all sectors of the industry. There’s something for everyone at mobility’s biggest annual gathering, and we encourage you to check out our schedule of events and speakers to get a glimpse of what this year’s GWS has to offer.
So if you haven’t already: register now! It’s not too late to sign up to experience this new format with all the elements you’ve come to expect from the Global Workforce Symposium. Join us at the first-ever virtual, month-long Global Workforce Symposium from 28 October to 20 November 2020.
