How This Impacts Mobility
Employment eligibility verification is mandatory for all employers hiring talent in the United States. The social distancing and stay-at-home orders enacted to slow the spread of the virus made compliance with this requirement difficult and ICE temporarily adjusted the requirements in response. Employers onboarding new hires during this period will need to take note of these changes and develop a plan for physical inspection of the required documents once the easing of requirements ends.
