Exceeding Expectations: GWS Convenes Talent Mobility Professionals from Around the World for an Incredible Event

WERC brought together attendees, sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and speakers to learn, network, and engage in Boston at the 2023 Global Workforce Symposium.

 Thanks to everyone who attended the 2023 Global Workforce Symposium. We were thrilled to bring together attendees, sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and speakers to learn, network, and engage in Boston. 

Top-Notch Education

GWS featured speakers with great knowledge of the cutting-edge innovations in our industry. With so many advancements in immigration law, technology, remote work, and more, we delivered educational opportunities with the power to make a significant impact on the careers of all participants. Between the Immigration Strategic Summit, numerous discussions around the use of artificial intelligence in talent mobility, corporate roundtables, and more, we left feeling empowered to bring new skills and ideas to our workplace. Lively Networking

GWS provided attendees with myriad opportunities to build connections with peers in talent mobility. We engaged with each other in the networking lounge, a quieter, dedicated space near the action, and in the Exhibit Hall to browse the latest products, services, and technology from top companies. In addition, there was plenty to learn from the popular Innovation Lab sessions. We also had the opportunity to play lawn games, grab a drink from the interactive champagne wall, and take a new professional headshot. The energy in the Exhibit Hall was extraordinary. Other networking events included the standing-room-only Young Professionals Taskforce Bootcamp, engaging roundtables for corporate HR professionals and service providers, and the memorable Foundation for Workforce Mobility Party with Purpose and Walk.

New Brand Unveiled

During the opening session, Anupam Singhal, WERC Board chair, unveiled our new brand. It reflects our focus on growth and innovation, and the logo itself blends vibrant colors and modern typography that evoke collaboration and diversity within our community of talent mobility professionals. It signifies a renewed dedication to our members and stakeholders, fostering a sense of pride and belonging. We look forward to incorporating our new look and feel across our organization in the coming weeks.

Exciting, Energizing Keynotes

Doc Hendley shared the touching story of his journey creating Wine to Water and empowered our community to help assemble life-saving water filtration devices live during the opening session. These filters will be sent to communities around the globe facing difficulty with clean water access.
The next morning, Heather E. McGowan left us feeling energized about the bright future of work during her keynote presentation. She explored the trends around employee expectations for balance and discussed the critical importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in every industry and workplace.
