Tiffany Derentz serves as Senior Counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. Tiffany joined BAL after nearly nine years with the U.S. State Department in the Bureau of Consular Affairs. There, she served as Deputy Chief of the Legal Advisory Opinions Division within the Visa Office, placing her at the forefront of legal issues impacting all facets of consular operations at U.S. Embassies and Consulates. She works closely with international sports committees and teams to help facilitate travel of athletes to the US.

September is a Senior Director, Client Relationships in the Dallas office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. She is responsible for overseeing the US immigration program of one of the firm’s largest accounts. September works alongside the firm’s Partners and legal staff to bring the best of BAL to her client and their beneficiaries. September has more than ten years of program management and client services experience. Prior to joining BAL, September worked in the UK and Germany supporting various clients in the technology, retail and oil and gas sectors in developing and expanding their global immigration programs. She has experience managing large scale projects for her clients, supporting them with their immigration needs across the globe. She has sat onsite at client locations, further cultivating her immigration knowledge and client relationship skills.

She is an award winning immigration expert with some 20 years’ experience in immigration. In 2019, Jurga was appointed as Chair of the Immigration Committee of the Worldwide ERC. In 2022, she was invited to attend the International Migration Review Forum at the United Nations representing WERC and the Business Community on the need for more flexible migration across borders. Jurga also spoke as part of the panel at the UN Business Flagship Event for the International Organisation of Employers.
